What is Domain based Email from Shrishti Softech?

Domain based email allows you own a personal or business e-mail address e.g. : santosh@pandeysantosh.com or raman@healthfields.com or sales@healthfields.com. These emails can be accessed in outlook or as web mail on any Internet enabled PC by providing the user name and password.

   
 
How does the Mail Account function?

Your account is activated within 16 working hours after the payment is realized. Once the activation is done, we send you the admin Username and Password for your administration account using which you can create the email accounts needed.
 
How many e-mail addresses do I get?

You get 5 email accounts on your domain which may be increased in the multiples of five.

 
How to create further / manage existing email addresses?


Further accounts may be created by using the admin control panel, which has a link to mail manager.

I created an additional e-mail address; now I wish to alter it, how can I do it?


Yes, all the Id’s can be altered. If you have created the Id’s raman@healhfields.com and later wish to change it to raman.sharam@healthfields.com, you need to go to mail manager delete the first ID and create the new Id required.

How much storage space do I get?  

You get virtually unlimited space for each email box because as soon as the mails are downloaded, these are deleted from the mail server and the same space is used to receive new mails. So the capacity of your hard disk becomes your mail box size practically.

However, technically, the mailbox has a 10 MB dedicated space with an emergency limit of 500 Mb for each mail box. That means the mail box will allow incoming mails up to 500 Mb in case of extenuating circumstances and hold up to 48 hours. Such mails must be downloaded within the specified time.

 
What is the maximum size of the of attachments I can send?

Technically, mail server does not have a limit of attachment size.
But, it is necessary to quote here that the attachment size does not completely depend upon the mail server or mail service provider. It depends on constant connectivity, ISP attachment limit and some other technical aspects. Generally, ISP’s allow the attachment up to 5 Mb which varies from ISP to ISP.
 
What are the different payment options available?

How can I restrict unsolicited messages in my Inbox?

Spam filter option of the admin control panel enables you to put the filter to unsolicited mails. The mails can be restricted coming from a specific email address, containing a subject or email text. These settings are applicable on all the emails of the domain.

What are other value added services I get ?

a) Email Filter

Email filter allow you to filter out any mail coming from specific email address or containing any objectionable subject or text you do not wish to receive. The settings can be done in the admin control panel using Spam Filters option.

b) Catch All

Catch all option converts one of your email ID to a catch all account. This feature enables to receive all such mails for which the email Id or email box does not exist. For example you have an email for sales as sales@psspl.com but a person writing you a mail writes sale@psspl.com by mistake. Such mails get bounced in normal course. But if this option is activated, the mail will land on the catch all Id automatically. If we carry forward the same logic ahead, even if somebody sends you a mail on abracadabra@psspl.com , the mail will not bounce and land on catch all account. The option can be activated using admin control panel.

c) Email Forwarders

You can forward any email account to some other ID

d) Auto responder

Auto responders can be defined using admin control panel.

 
How do I check the mails on the web?

Go to http://<yourdomainname>:8383 i.e http://psspl.com:8383 considering psspl.com is your domain name. Alternatively you can use ip based URL http://209.120.245.158:8383 also.

Can I have additional e-mail addresses other than the 5 e-mail addresses given to me?

Yes, we offer additional e-mail ids' in the multiples of five (this means the minimum order placed will be five). Each address will have e-mail storage of 10MB expandable up to 500 MB. Please contact the marketing department on marketing@shrishtisoftech.com for info.
